SETTLE IN WITH A CUP OF TEA AND READ THIS:

The Creative Act: A Way of Being
Rick Rubin

This guide from the legendary music producer, Rick Rubin, is a beautifully crafted book that can offer deep wisdom about the importance of creativity to all of us. Rubin is a master at helping people connect with the source of their creativity and now his book can help you enhance the creativity in your life too.

Rick Rubin was known for creating a space where artists of all different genres and traditions can home in on who they really are and what they really offer. He has produced albums for artists like the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Kanye West, Eminem, Adele, Lady Gaga, Johnny Cash, Jay-Z, Shakira and Justin Timberlake. He has 8 Grammy Awards – including two for best Album of the Year.

I set out to write a book about what to do to make a great work of art. Instead, it revealed itself to be a book on how to be.” —Rick Rubin

Over the years, Rubin has thought deeply about where creativity comes from and he learned that being an artist isn’t about what you create, but it’s about your relationship to the world. Creativity has a place in everyone’s life, and everyone can make that place larger. The Creative Act can illuminate that path as a road we all can follow.
