If you are looking for a tear-jerker this weekend, then Dear Edward could be the show for you. This new Apple TV+ series revolves around the aftermath of a deadly plane crash and how the sole survivor, 12-year-old Edward, and  the people around him, grieve following the traumatic event. The series is based on a book by the same name by Ann Napolitano, which was also based on a true story. Dear Edward premieres its first three episodes this Friday. After that, a new episode will be released weekly through 24 March.

True Spirit

Here is another heart-warming story that is also based on the true story of Australian teenager Jessica Watson as she set out on a mission to become the youngest person to sail solo around the world non-stop and unassisted. Australian actress Teagan Croft (HBO’s Titans) stars as Watson, with Academy Award winner Anna Paquin (True Blood) and Australian actor Josh Lawson (Hoges: The Paul Hogan Story) playing her parents. True Spirit premieres on Netflix this Friday.
