Saving Time: Discovering a Life Beyond the Clock
In this TIME recommended book, author and multidisciplinary artist Jenny Odell builds on the ideas explored in her 2019 debut ‘How to Do Nothing: Resisting the Attention Economy.’ Odell continues to examine the notion of time as a commodity and challenges the traditional belief that time is money. Through her exploration, she uncovers how our perception of time has been molded to serve commercial interests, rather than individual well-being. By delving into the concepts of communication and connection, Odell offers a thought-provoking perspective on life and its priorities, urging readers to reconsider their relationship with time and embrace a more fulfilling existence.
