Beef is a brand-new seriocomic series that dives deep into what happens when a little parking lot tussle turns into a full-blown road rage showdown, sparking an all-out feud. Ali Wong (Always Be My Maybe) takes on the role of Amy, a boss businesswoman, while Steven Yeun. (Okja) plays Danny, a contractor. Even though they’re strangers, their road rage incident sets off a wild cycle of revenge, fury, and ego that causes complete chaos in each other’s lives. Beef is a fun and refreshing show that tackles some big issues, like power dynamics and the psychological factors at play.

Chupa
Netflix, 7 April

Also premiering on Netflix this weekend is Chupa, a new fantasy adventure movie, which follows the journey of a young boy named Alex who discovers a young Chupacabra hiding in his grandpa’s shed while visiting Mexico. Together with his cousins, they set out on an adventure to protect the mythological creature from a scientist who seeks to harm it. The film is a heartwarming, family-friendly story that incorporates Spanish traditions and language, offering a window into different cultures for younger audiences.

I Will Find You
Harlan Coben

Harlan Coben’s I Will Find You tells the heart-wrenching story of David Burroughs, a devoted father who loses his three-year-old son, Matthew, to a brutal murder. However, when a recent holiday photo surfaces, David is convinced that his son is alive, despite all evidence to the contrary.

Higher Than Heaven (Deluxe)
Ellie Goulding, 7 April

English singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding is set to release her fifth studio album, Higher Than Heaven this weekend, her first album in three years, following the release of “Brightest Blue” in 2020. The album includes the singles Easy Lover, All by Myself, Let It Die, and Like a Saviour.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, the Love Me Like You Do hitmaker shared that Higher Than Heaven is her least personal album, but she believes it is her best work. Ellie expressed how much she enjoys exploring different aspects of herself through writing and singing.

American rock band Linkin Park is also releasing the 20th anniversary edition of their album Meteora. The limited edition deluxe box set includes unreleased songs, demos, b-sides, live shows and never-before-seen footages of the band, lead by its previous vocalist, the late Chester Bennington.
