Sweet Tooth Season 2
Netflix, 27 April

The second season of the popular Netflix show Sweet Tooth, based on the beloved DC comics, is set to release this Thursday. Executive produced by Robert Downey Jr and Susan Downey, the show follows animal-human hybrid Gus (Christian Convery) and his previously unwilling protector Jepperd (Nonso Anozie) who were separated in season 1. In season 2, viewers will witness a shift in the show’s tone as it delves deeper into the darker aspects of Jeff Lemire’s comic book series. Although the show initially showcased whimsy and serendipity, it will now feature a more somber tone as the characters face more challenging obstacles. Gus, Wendy, and the other hybrids from Aimee’s Preserve are now under the control of the Last Men, who plan to utilise them to manufacture a treatment for The Sick. Meanwhile, Jepperd and Aimee must devise a plan to rescue them.
