The Marvels
Disney Plus, 7 February

This Marvel movie may have been in theatres for a while, but this weekend – it hits Disney Plus! This thrilling sequel is a follow up the original ‘Captian Marvel’ and brings back not only Nick Fury, but Ms Marvel and ‘Photon’ aka Captain Marvel’s neice: Monica Rambeau.

When Captain Marvel is drawn into an anomalous wormhole connected to a Kree rebel, her abilities become intertwined with those of Jersey City’s avid fan, Kamala Khan, also known as Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now SABER astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Each time one of these heroes employs their powers, they swap places with the others. This complicates matters, especially when facing a Kree warrior wielding a Cosmi-Rod akin to Ronan the Accuser’s. The trio must work together to thwart the Kree threat, navigating the challenges of their unpredictable power exchanges along the way.

Derived from the sensational video game series with the same name, ‘Halo’ chronicles a futuristic conflict in the 26th century between the United Nations Space Command and the Covenant, an alliance of alien races bent on humanity’s destruction.

Pablo Schreiber and Jen Taylor lead the cast as Master Chief Petty Officer John-117 and Cortana, respectively, with Taylor reprising her voice role from the games. Following its debut in 2022, fans have eagerly awaited Season 2 – and now it’s here!
