Everyone can use some peace and stillness after the journey 2020 has taken us on. Start the new year right by clearing your mind with this collaboration of Headspace and Netflix which will debut on the first of January. ‘Headspace Guide to Meditation’ is a new animated series narrated by Headspace co-founder Andy Puddicombe. Learn more about the tools to build a meditation practice or explore the science behind it with eight simple and binge-worthy episodes. Each 20-minute episode showcases a different mindfulness technique that aids in the practice of meditation — focusing on subjects such as stress, sleep, and letting go — and ends with a guided meditation at the finale of every chapter. Netflix will debut two additional series including Headspace Guide to Sleep and another interactive experience later in the year.

Before Marie Kondo, there were ‘The Minimalists.’ If you have been wanting to start your journey to minimalism, ‘The Minimalists: Less is Now’ can be a perfect guide for you. Longtime friends Joshua Fields Millburn and Ryan Nicodemus share how our lives can be better with less. Millburn & Nicodemus explained on their site that minimalism is the ‘thing that gets us past the things so we can make room for life’s important things—which aren’t things at all.’ The film follows various people as they try to make progress getting rid of things in their lives, while discussing the power in that. This feature, also debuting on 1 January, is a follow up to director Matt D’Avella’s 2015 docu ‘Minimalism: A Documentary About the Important Things.’
