TOP CHOICES‘Sankofa’
Chibundu Onuzo

Sankofa follows the story of Anna who made some curious discoveries about her father, in a time when she’s in the middle of her own identity crisis after the passing of her mother and her separation from her husband. Her father has never been part of her life and it’s just now that Anna discovers that he was involved in radical politics in 1970s London and he even became a president of a country in West Africa. And the interesting revelation is, he is still alive. Anna sets out on a journey to find out who and where her father really is. Onuzo offers a stirring narrative about family, our capacity to change and the need to belong.
