Qatar Tourism in partnership with Mowasalat (Karwa) has announced the start of the voting period for its Iconic Limousine Design competition.

With over 450 submissions, the contest has seen overwhelming participation from citizens and residents. A committee from Qatar Tourism reviewed each entry, shortlisting 20 designs that best reflect the competition’s themes: Qatar’s culture and heritage, progressive future, as well as sustainability and eco-friendly vision.

Public voting is open from 23 November to 14 December.  The design with the most public votes will receive the People’s Design Choice award. A jury panel will also evaluate the shortlisted designs and select the winning design which will be featured on Qatar’s Iconic Limousines. You can view the shortlisted designs here.

According to Qatar Tourism Chief Operating Officer Berthold Trenkel, the design contest is part of Qatar Tourism’s efforts to celebrate the country’s cultural identity and heritage.

I am delighted with the enthusiasm and want to thank everyone who participated. Tourism has such a widespread impact; long after visitors return home, they remember the culture and experience. As part of Qatar Tourism’s Service Excellence programme, this iconic limousine service will be a visual representation of the country for visitors.

Qatar Tourism works closely with stakeholders across the public and private sectors to develop products and services that enhance the visitor experience. Their partnership with Mowasalat is an example of that, fostering collaboration and ensuring a seamless journey, with luxury and excellence at each touchpoint.
