Abesq Doha Hotel & Residences, a recently opened five-star IHG hotel located in downtown Doha near the Ramada signal, is making its presence known in the city. Among its dining outlets is The Oat House, a gem that recently caught our attention with its ‘Seal Your Deal’ Business Lunch, priced at a reasonable QAR90 per person.

The property gives you this mix of posh vibes and traditional Qatar feels. The Oat House, located just a quick right turn from the lobby, seems like the cool kid in the hotel scene. It’s not trying too hard, just welcoming you in for some good eats. And they have outdoor seating too!

Now, let’s talk about the ‘Seal Your Deal’ business lunch. Initially, we anticipated the typical hotel lunch deal, but to our surprise, it exceeded expectations at an accessible price point. The experience commenced with a thoughtful touch – complimentary bread and spreads for the table.

Each week, The Oat House curates its Business Lunch offer by mixing and matching items from its diverse main menu. Check out their rotating menus below. During our visit, the focus leaned towards Asian fusion.

We dug first into the ‘Chunky & Spicey’ appetisers – cauliflower rice, tahini, bell peppers, crushed nuts, and tortilla chips. The portion was generously sized for sharing between two people.

Then, the ‘Steak & Chips’ comes along. Listed as an appetiser but feels like a main course – rib eye, porcini mushrooms, and super skinny fries. The Oat House is definitely playing with your food expectations, but in a good way.

Moving to the main course, the ‘Fusion Pho’ brought a unique twist to the familiar Vietnamese dish. The sesame broth, noodles, baby corn, and broccoli blended seamlessly, offering a departure from the ordinary. The option to request additional broth demonstrated a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction.

Their ‘Pad Thai’ is doing its thing, toeing the line between sweet and spicy and it’s a nice move to have the spice levels adjustable. Serving was also big enough for sharing.

The chef further surprised us with a baked salmon fillet accompanied by quinoa and romanesca sauce, catering to health-conscious preferences.

Dessert arrived in the form of the ‘Twisted Coconut Mango Split’ and ‘Honey Roasted Peaches’ – a sweet conclusion to our flavour-packed lunch.

To sum it up, the ‘Seal Your Deal’ Business Lunch at The Oat House is undeniably a must-try deal. Whether you’re planning a power lunch, a negotiation session, or seamlessly blending both, this meticulously crafted 3-course meal is tailored to enhance your business meetings or a quick lunch out. Beyond the food, the venue boasts a spacious and tranquil ambience, complemented by top-notch service.
